Favorite track: Resident.

Ippocalyptica Panopticon’s first three full-length albums are all great, but it is here where Austin Lunn’s experimentation and focus truly coalesced into a monstrous and seamless black metal masterpiece (for the first of many times in his career). The concept here is about how society’s institutions can be crushing, and the lengthy and varied tracks explore this theme in very emotionally impactful ways. This is some of Panopticon’s most aggressive music, and certainly his most oppressive. Essential. Favorite track: Resident.

Alice M. I disregarded this band for about two years and I'll admit I have no idea why. Randomly picking “Client” as my phone's alarm-clock ringtone last week sure was the worst idea ever, though.

mkmtrd "Patient" — the track, whose lyrics resonated very strongly inside me. Melodies convey these emotions as accurately as possible, causing explosive gusts of screaming, then sweet calm created by these beautiful melodies. The drums here are perfect, they don't attract too much attention, but they leave surprises here and there. For me personally it's a masterpiece, rough enough to make you fell it, yet calming and charming you, giving hope Favorite track: Patient.

about

This is certainly a relief to me.
This album has been completely reworked by Spenser Morris, painstakingly sample replacing the drums ( using samples from my drum kit), hit for hit and blending them with the original lo-fi drum tracks, so you can finally hear the parts played as they sounded live. When this album was tracked, I had very little equipment or knowledge of how to convey the music as it sounded in my head...and thanks to Spencer's hard work I can finally hear the album the way it was meant to sound..brutal, suffocating and furious. I am so thankful for the work he put into this...
The album was reworked, re-amped and remixed over a period of six months, then remastered by Colin Marston who was also involved in the creative process of the record. I am forever grateful to both of these men for the work they put into this.

This album will be Included in Vinyl and Cd set available from Bindrune recordings and Nordvis, containing both albums , ON THE SUBJECT OF MORTALITY and SOCIAL DISSERVICES in their remixed versions featuring the original art, explanation texts and liner notes as well as new and improved art by none other than NATE BURNS.
